Overview
The Bill gives the Gaelic and Scots languages official status in Scotland and makes changes to the support for the Gaelic and Scots languages in Scotland. This includes changes in relation to Gaelic and Scots education.
The Education, Children and Young People Committee would like to know your views on the Bill.

We welcome written views in English, Gaelic, Scots or any other language; we also welcome views in British Sign Language.
The call for views closes at 11.59pm on 8 March 2024.
How we will treat your views
Any views shared with the Committee will be treated in accordance with our privacy notice.
Any submissions received in Gaelic will be published in Gaelic, alongside an English translation.
Any submissions received in Scots will be published in their original form.
All submissions received to the more detailed call for views will be uploaded to the Scottish Parliament website. If you do not want your response to be published in its entirety, please contact the Committee to discuss your options before making your submission.
