Question 1
1. Do you think this legislation will deliver quick and cost effective remediation of potentially flammable cladding systems found on some modern blocks of flats in Scotland?
Please provide your response in the box provided.
I’ll take this opportunity to say how much of a shambles the handling of this has been. I have a flat. I want to sell but sell, but can rent out! Now the rent does not cover the cost of the mortgage which is sky high because of interest rate rises. Yet I can’t put the rent up to cover because of the rent freeze. where’s my compensation for this shambles that is not my fault. Soon be 7 years since Grenfell. Shambles of a Scottish Governement making little progress. My development is part of the pilot along with another 104. I’m near retirement, I’ll be DEAD before it’s remediated. Not even sign of a plan yet. I’ve had to remortgage another 17 years. At least my life is insured.. But it’s okay Scottish government just continue at a snails pace with no feedback or update to those affected.
2. What, if any, amendments could be made to the Bill that would further speed the delivery of cladding remediation?
Please provide your response in the box provided.
Like most I just want more people deployed to get it done. A plan of where my development is on the list, HOW LONG ITS GOING TO TAKE
Question 2
1. Do you think the Register will resolve the challenges around re-mortgaging, buying, selling, and insuring properties with potentially unsafe cladding?
Please provide your response in the box provided.
Well I hope that it will or what’s the actual point????
2. Are there any other measures necessary to respond to these challenges?
Please provide your response in the box provided.
Just get on with it!!!
Question 3
1. Experience shows that it can prove difficult to secure consent for cladding remediation work from all owners within a block of flats. Do the provisions in the Bill adequately address this issue? If not, what changes need to be made?
Please provide your answer in the box provided.
Don’t allow those people to hold up work to make a building safe. Surely safety comes first, fix then the Scottish government peruse those for payment. Get finger out at my development and solve the issue with Barratt.
2. Are the appeal mechanisms and timescales for those appeals sufficient?
Please provide your answer in the box provided.

Question 4
1. Do you think this scheme will expedite the process of remediating buildings with potentially unsafe cladding?
Please provide your answer in the box provided.
I sincerely hope so!
2. Do you think it is proportionate to prohibit developers who fail to comply with the schemes terms from carrying out major developments and gaining building control sign-off in Scotland?
Please provide your answer in the box provided.
Yes they should be made to remediate before being allowed to build new
3. Much of the detail of the scheme is left to secondary legislation. Should more of the detail be on the face of the Bill?
Please provide your answer in the box provided.
