Housing Lived Experience Panel (Landlords) - Register your interest
Overview
Scottish Parliament private rented housing panels
Are you a landlord of private rented housing?
The Scottish Government is proposing some changes in the law which will affect landlords in the private rented sector.
The job of the Scottish Parliament is to examine and scrutinise the work of the Scottish Government. For example, in housing law and policy.
As a landlord in the private rented housing sector are you interested in taking part in a small group with other landlords to share your views on these changes?
The Scottish Parliament Local Government Housing and Planning Committee is inviting a small group of people to make up a panel of landlords.
This would involve:
-
sharing your ideas and experiences
-
working as a small group to make recommendations
-
meeting with MSPs on the Committee to test ideas
Meetings
There are likely to be two online meetings. This will depend upon the group. We anticipate that these meetings will last 1 – 2 hours. We expect participants to attend every meeting.
Payment
For participating in the sessions, we will offer vouchers or payment of the following amounts to acknowledge the value of lived expertise. Travel and other necessary expenses will be covered.
Session 1 - £30 - for participation of up to 2 hours
Session 2 - £30 - for participation of up to 2 hours
Who will be involved
The group will be around 10 individuals. We are inviting people to register their interest to take part by completing this survey. From this we will select a range of landlords.
Please can you tell us a little bit more about yourself
We want to make sure that we hear from a range of landlords from different circumstances and locations. To do this, we need you to tell us a bit more about your circumstances by answering the following short survey. We will recruit people to take part in the panel from the responses. Unfortunately we will not be able to involve everyone. If you are not selected for the panel there will be other opportunities to express your views on the legislation when it is introduced in Parliament via a Call for Views. You will automatically be notified of these opportunities by signing the privacy notice for this survey.
