Introduction

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. It will only take a few minutes.

We are seeking views from people who are taking part in, or who have recently completed, Initial Teacher Education in Scotland.

Other opportunities are available to say more about your views and experiences - details are at the end of the survey.

The results from this survey will be analysed and reported in an anonymised / generalised form.

Background

The Scottish Parliament Education and Skills Committee is cross party and holds the Scottish Government to account on education policy and how it works in practice.

This survey is being conducted as part of our inquiry into recruiting and training new teachers. The inquiry will involve this survey, written submissions, informal focus groups and panels of witnesses in Committee meetings.

We will then hold a hearing based on your views with John Swinney, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills, and make recommendations for change.

Before agreeing to take part in this survey, please read the privacy notice that sets out how we process your personal data when providing information to a Committee.

What happens next

Once you have completed the survey, you will be taken to a page where you can find out more about how to submit further information to the Committee, if you wish to do so.
