Yes absolutely, as a doctor I am seeing more deaths from treatable conditions in people who could not or would not seek medical attention at an earlier stage in their illness.

2. Is there evidence that patients are now presenting in a more acute condition?

The data shows that Scotland has been having excess deaths in the home for over 30 weeks this year.

Not at all. They have studiously been ignored and all the focus of information and resources directed towards covid.

5. What are the realistic options open to the government in addressing the indirect health impact of the virus in winter 2021/22?

Provide information which actually promotes health: vitamin D supplementation, exercise, good diet, the risks of obesity.

Make it clear that people should seek help for health complaints. Currently the impression is that "you should not trouble the NHS"
