I agree with this.

Provisions enabling applicants to make a statutory declaration that they have lived in the acquired gender for a minimum of three months (rather than the current period of two years) and that they intend to live permanently in their acquired gender.

I think k that this may be an area for some co.promise with those that oppose the bill. 24 months down to 3 is a significant decrease.

Whether applications should be made to the Registrar General for Scotland instead of the Gender Recognition Panel, a UK Tribunal.

I agree IF the age of consent is aligned for other major life 'events' or decisions. For example, tattoo, driving, marriage, etc. This disalignment makes ut easier for detractors to argue on yhe grounds of child vs adult decisions.

As mentioned, maybe extend the proposed 3 month period and review the qge of 16 in light of other ages of consent/law.
