Are there any immediate issues unique to remote and rural communities which the National Centre will need to focus on to improve primary and community care in these areas?

Please use this textbox to provide your answer
I have lived in R&R Argyll for over 20 yrs. I work in the healthcare sector.
I would like a focus on maternity and neonatal services to be considered.
Women and families should not be geographically disadvantaged because of where they live. With the recent recommendations to Neonatal services published recently this will mean that families may have to travel further away from home to access specialist services, separated from wider family members at a very vulnerable time in their life.
This can have huge implications to recovery and long term mental health. There doesn't seem to be joined up thinking.

What would you like to see included in the Scottish Government’s forthcoming Remote and Rural Workforce Strategy?

Please use this textbox to provide your answer
Recruitment and how to attract workforce in to rural areas. Incentives.
Often challenging finding affordable accommodation and a higher cost of living.

What specific workforce related issues should the strategy look to resolve?

Please use this textbox to provide your answer
As above
