Q2. What are your main reasons for your views on Q1? (please note we have asked more detailed questions on the Bill later in this survey)
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
The language and the objectives seem to be aligned. Whether that holds to be true when put into practice is yet to be seen.

Q4. Do you have any further comments to make on Part 1 of the Bill dealing with rent for private tenants?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
Everywhere should be rent-controlled. It's not just the big cities that can fall victim to landlords upping the rent whenever they feel like it. With remote working, people are now more able to live elsewhere, which can skew income to region, making it difficult for lower wage earners to find a place where they need to live.
Evictions
Q5. What are your views on Part 2 of the Bill that deals with evictions?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
I appreciate the bind that a landlord could be put into with people not paying rent, especially if they are making a living off their rental property. However, it seems that for a bill to be written that gives more protection to tenants it's likely that a few bad apples on both sides is true, but with more landlords being bad apples. For the most part, if someone can't pay their rent, it's not because they just don't feel like it.

Q7. Do you have any further comments to make on Part 3 of the Bill dealing with keeping pets and making changes to let property?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
I would love to paint my flat, as it is a sad beige blah colour. However, I've been told it needs to be repainted back once I move out. I'm not spending money twice.
Pets, for the most part, cause less damage than children.

Joint tenancies
Q8. What are your views on Part 4 of the Bill that deals with how joint private residential tenancies can be ended?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
This is very important. Many people have been stuck in dangerous, abusive relationships because they can't get out of a JT agreement.
Homelessness prevention
Q9. Overall, do you support the Bill’s proposals in Part 5 of the Bill that deal with homelessness prevention?

Q10. What are your views on the ‘ask and act duty’ for relevant bodies in relation to preventing homelessness in Part 5 of the Bill?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
Providing housing is cheaper than not. I don't understand why government in general can't do the maths.
Q11. What are your views on the requirement on councils to act sooner to prevent homelessness by taking reasonable steps in Part 5 of the Bill?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
This hopefully would prevent as many people as possible from becoming homeless. Once homeless, it is extremely difficult to become housed again.
Mobile Homes
Q13. What are your views on the provisions in the Part 5 of the Bill relating to mobile homes pitch fees uprating?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
Anything that tries to keep housing fair is good for society.
Fuel poverty
Q14. What are your views on the provisions in Part 6 of the Bill relating to fuel poverty?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
The increase in all utility prices over the last three years is obscene. We need to be making legislation to prevent the wild and unreasonable profits the fuel and power company boards are making. No CEO is working that hard.
Other provisions in the bill and other comments
Q15. Do you have any additional comments on the other measures the Bill deals with or any other general comments?
Please use this textbox to provide your answer
Unclaimed tenancy deposits should be transferred to the KLTR, as with dissolved company assets and assets of those that pass without an heir.
General comments: Tax the rich. I mean the people that never have to think about what something costs, the people that have more than one home etc. We use to tax them at over 90% and they still thrived. And guess what, we did great things with that money (looking at you railways, NHS, education).
