Hunting with Dogs (Scotland) Bill - Additional Call for Views
Do you have any comments on this clarification from the Scottish Government about rough shooting and the Hunting with Dogs (Scotland) Bill?
Please provide your response in the box provided below.
Please may I add to the discussion about using only one or two dogs for rough shooting or fox control rather than a number of dogs because of the increased threat of wildlife being chased and killed. There is increasing yearly evidence of only one or two dogs chasing and killing wildlife sheep and ground nesting birds.
Various numbers of hounds in modern rifle packs controlling foxes and groups of gun dogs are professional trained from puppies to come to hand and are professionally trained to come under control when out in the field. If they are always accompanied by a number of professional people who know how to control their dogs the number of dogs is not the problem.
